First National Bank is located on the site of the original A.M. Hanna residence and adjacent to Hanna Park, a park given by the Hanna family to the Town of China Grove. Organized in 1905 as Rowan Building and Loan Association, the organization became Rowan Bank in 1993 and later merged with the First National Bank of Asheboro in 2003. The present building was first constructed in 1974 and additional office space was completed in 1998
