This home, with the glass enclosed front porch, is located at the
corner of South Main Street and Stevens Street. The earliest
record of ownership of this property was a handwritten deed
to Alexander P. Andrews, Jr., dated April, 1898. Mr. and Mrs. J.
Ernest Dowless owned the house for the longest period of time and
made many of the modifications one sees today. The present owner is
Mrs. Mary Spencer Coble.
