W. V. and Martha Bright Home
509 South Franklin Street
Built circa 1935

This home is still known as the place where many children took piano lessons from Mrs. Martha Bright, who converted her sunroom to a music room for lessons. The Bright family lived here until 1983, when Mrs. Bright died. In 1986, Patricia and Charles "Mickey" Driver, another musician and music educator, purchased the home and lived here until 2000. Rodney and Donna Phillips and their family live here now and have added amenities while paying respect to the original design and architecture.
