Built circa 1889
According to oral history, this house was built in 1889 as the Mount Zion parsonage and served that purpose until 1937. China Grove Chief of Police W.B. Demarcus and wife, Mae Helen DeMarcus bought this house and it has been the home of three DeMarcus generations.
