The Robert Gray Home
(Now Main Street Mission)
306 South Main Street
Built circa 1912
Robert Gray, another China Grove alderman who served in 1913, built
this home in 1912. The home has had multiple uses through the years
including use as a funeral home and as a residence by Rebecca Flowe
(1987-2002). Many people will remember this house as Linn Honeycutt
Funeral Home before the funeral home moved out to US 29 Bypass in
1975. From 1975 until 1987, the home served as New Hope Presbyterian
Church. Since 2002, the Main Street Mission, owned by Eric and
Vickie Troyer, has offered food and other services to needy families
and is staffed by volunteers from the community.
